In this, third book in the Mike Black Saga, Nick Simmons (former soilder for Mike Black) is discharged from Army Special Forces when the rest of his unit is killed eradicating drug labs in South America. Chilly, of course, denies any involvement in her brother’s disappearance. She hires Nick and his team to investigate. Along the way, Nick becomes the only suspect in four drug-related murders. After being released from jail, Nick recounts for his lawyer the events that got him in that situation. That conversation gives him a chance to face the old demons he’d left ten years before. Private Deceptions is an intriguing, fast-paced journey of mystery and high-powered action that you won’t be able to put down.

The story has a good pace to it and I enjoyed the way it was told chronologically while also alternating locations within each chapter. My only problem with the book was the spelling errors and the formatting. I read the same passage on four different pages. Despite the errors, I still enjoyed the book.Product details

Why do we love the "Bad Boys/" I don't know, maybe because he still loves and shows respect for his mother (?). It's a great fantasy. the characters are well put together and everyone has their own set of issues.
This is another book in the Mike Black Saga. This book talks about Nick Simmons from the time he left Black and the crew, whats he been up to, how he got into some trouble, and ended up back with the old neighborhood crew. This is a 5 star book that closes some loose ends, and opens up some new ones. That talks about some old friends and introduces some new friends as well.

I thought I had read most of the Mike Black series until I found this one. Nick's character is strong in this one. He get's caught up by the po-po and when he get's cleared he goes to see Mike and not even 2hours after he gets to the Bahamas he's caught in something. Really good read.
